Attorney Jason Messina obtained his law degree from the Western New England University School of Law where he focused his education and training on trial practice. Attorney Messina competed on the Western New England University School of Law Trial Team in the American Association for Justice Trial Competition. Additionally, during his final semester Attorney Messina was accepted in and excelled in the Western New England University School of Law Criminal Clinic where Attorney Messina worked as a Student District Attorney in the Hampden County District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Attorney Messina began his law career with a small but reputable law firm in Hartford, Connecticut where his practice focused on personal injury, criminal defense, and landlord/tenant law. With this office Attorney Messina represented hundreds of clients in the various criminal courts throughout the State of Connecticut and several in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Messina has worked all aspects of civil litigation cases from intake through jury verdict.
Following this practice, Attorney Messina practiced with a firm in Milford, Connecticut who specializes in complex probate litigation matters. During this practice Attorney Messina assisted in the litigation of complex estate matters as well as represented criminal defendants and personal injury victims.
In January of 2018 Attorney Messina made the decision to open the Law Office of J.W. Messina. Through this practice Attorney Messina has broadened his practice to the following:

On January 14, 2019, the defense team comprising Attorney Jason W. Messina and Attorney Steven Slattery concluded a jury trial lasting through six days of evidence and one day of closing arguments as well as several key motion victories. That trial was on the top charge of Murder, for which the jury received charges for Murder, Intentional Manslaughter in the First Degree with a Firearm, Reckless Indifference Manslaughter in the First Degree with a Firearm, and Manslaughter in the Second Degree with a Firearm; additionally, the defendant was charged with two counts of Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun for which he admitted to. After less than a full day of deliberations, the defense team of Attorney Jason Messina and Attorney Steven Slattery secured a jury verdict of Not-Guilty on all four charges relating to homicide.
Attorney Messina is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Federal District Court in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.
In his free time, Attorney Messina enjoys skiing, scuba diving, boating and spending time with his family, especially his son Jacob who was born at the end of 2017.
