Mehdi Essmidi is a Senior Trial Attorney for Greco Neyland P.C.'s New York office. Mehdi is admitted to practice law in all New York State Courts as well as Federal Court (Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York).  As a Moroccan American, Mehdi was raised multi-lingual and speaks both French and Arabic.  Mehdi earned his J.D. from New York Law School, where he took part in internships at the New York County District Attorney's Office, the Queens County District Attorney's Office, and the Kings County Criminal Court. Mehdi Essmidi is a former Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, where he handled 1000's of criminal cases involving: Domestic Violence, Assault, Firearms, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Leandra's Law DWI, Burglary, Robbery, Prison Contraband, Conspiracy, Controlled Substances (Narcotics, Marijuana, and other drugs), and Obstruction of Governmental Administration. Mehdi has significant experience handling cases that involve DNA evidence, medical records, ballistic evidence, microscopic examination of bullet fragments, Video evidence, Shot-spotter evidence, the Intoxilyzer 5000 and 9000 (breath testing machines used in NYC DWI cases), and expert testimony. Mehdi takes his knowledge and training of being a former prosecutor and puts that knowledge to work for his clients who are currently facing criminal prosecution by the very offices he once worked in. Having knowledge from both sides of the law is a significant advantage that he brings to the table on every case he handles.
