I am licensed with the Utah State Bar in good standing.  I have been a public defender attorney for Sanpete, Sevier, Wayne, Piute, Juab and Uintah Counties since 1993.   I have been the Sevier County Public Defender continuously since 2006 to the present.  As a solo practitioner, my case load is primarily criminal law and family law.

I have also worked as a Guardian ad Litem, city attorney, city prosecutor and Deputy County Attorney for Sevier County.  I have been practicing law for over twenty years.  

I meet all the requirements for death penalty cases, but I have not filed or asked to be included in the state list. No disciplinary findings have ever been entered against me.

I have practiced law since 1992.  Prior to going back to law school, I taught and coached at the high school level, owned a title insurance company and operated a turkey farm.  I received my law degree and my undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Utah.  I am married and live in Manti.  My three children are all grown.
